Terms of Service
Effective date: March 28, 2026
Welcome to Catchmylive. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Catchmylive website, application, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- "Creator" — a user who registers an account, connects platform(s), and receives a notify link (catchmy.live/[slug]).
- "Follower" — a user who follows a Creator and receives notifications via their notify link (also referred to as a "direct follower").
- "Follower Data" — information about a Creator's direct followers, including push tokens, email addresses, phone numbers (if provided), and notification preferences.
- "Broadcast" — a manual notification sent by a Creator to all of their direct followers.
- "Referral" — the act of a Creator directing another person to register as a Creator on Catchmylive through a referral link, notify link, or other tracked attribution method.
- "Referred Creator" — a Creator whose account creation was attributed to another Creator through the Referral Program.
- "Paid Referral" — a Referred Creator who is on a paid subscription plan (Creator tier or above) and has maintained an active paid subscription for at least 30 consecutive days.
- "Revenue Share Program" — the program through which eligible Creators earn a percentage of subscription revenue from their Paid Referrals, as described in Section 11.
- "Early Adopter Discount" — a promotional discount offered to Creators who subscribe during specific platform growth phases, as described in Section 9.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's consent to use the Service.
3. Accounts and Registration
Creators register using email-based one-time password (OTP) authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account. You must not share your access with others or allow unauthorized use of your account.
When claiming a notify link slug (e.g., catchmy.live/yourname), you represent that you have a legitimate right to use that name. Squatting on names to prevent others from using them is prohibited. If you believe someone is using your creator name without authorization, contact us at legal@catchmy.live.
4. Data Ownership
Creators own their Follower Data. Catchmylive acts as a data processor on behalf of the Creator (the data controller). This means:
- You may export your full follower list at any time, in CSV format, with no restrictions and no fees, on any plan.
- You may delete your account and all associated follower data at any time. Data is permanently deleted within 30 days of the deletion request.
- Catchmylive may use anonymized, aggregate data (e.g., average notification delivery rates across the platform) for product improvement and marketing. This data is never individually identifiable.
5. Follower Rights
Followers may manage or remove their followed creators at any time via the settings page. Followers may request complete deletion of all their data (all follows, push tokens, email address, phone number) by contacting legal@catchmy.live. All data is permanently deleted within 30 days of the request.
When a Creator deletes their account, the follow relationship between that Creator and their Followers is removed. Follows to other Creators remain active.
6. Acceptable Use and Content Policy
Catchmylive is a notification delivery service, not a content platform. Creators are responsible for the content they broadcast. However, the following are prohibited:
- Illegal content — content that violates applicable law
- Spam — unsolicited, repetitive, or misleading notifications designed to deceive or annoy followers
- Harassment — notifications containing threats, hate speech, or targeted harassment of individuals or groups
- Malicious links — links to malware, phishing sites, or deceptive content
We reserve the right to suspend broadcast access or terminate accounts that violate this policy. We do not proactively monitor broadcast content, but we will act on reports.
7. Notification Delivery
Catchmylive provides notification delivery on a best effort basis. We strive to deliver notifications promptly but do not guarantee delivery times or delivery success. Push notification delivery depends on third-party browser vendors (Google, Apple, Mozilla) and device conditions that are outside our control.
Email notification delivery depends on third-party email infrastructure. SMS notification delivery (when available) depends on third-party carrier networks.
To protect followers from notification fatigue, we enforce frequency limits: a maximum of one email notification per follower per 24 hours and one SMS notification per follower per 48 hours from the same Creator. These limits are designed to respect your audience and are transparently documented on our pricing page.
8. Pricing and Payment
Catchmylive offers a six-tier pricing structure. The Starter tier is free (up to 250 direct followers) and requires no credit card. Paid tiers (Creator, Growth, Network, Empire, and Enterprise) offer higher follower limits, additional notification channels, and advanced features. Current pricing details are available on our pricing page.
Push notifications are unlimited on all plans, including the free Starter tier. Email and SMS notifications are available on paid plans with monthly allowances that vary by tier. Paid plans may incur usage-based overage charges for email and SMS beyond your plan's monthly allowance. You may set a combined spending cap to prevent unexpected overage charges. Overage rates are transparently documented on our pricing page.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Annual billing provides a 15% discount compared to monthly billing. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
Annual and Early Adopter discounts stack multiplicatively (e.g., a 40% Early Adopter discount combined with 15% annual billing results in an effective 49% discount, not 55%). No other discounts may be combined with these.
9. Early Adopter Discount Program
Catchmylive offers Early Adopter Discounts to Creators who subscribe to paid plans during the platform's early growth phases. Discounts are structured in five phases based on the total number of paid Creators on the platform at the time of subscription:
- Phase 1 (0–1,000 paid creators) — 40% off
- Phase 2 (1,001–5,000) — 30% off
- Phase 3 (5,001–10,000) — 20% off
- Phase 4 (10,001–20,000) — 10% off
- Phase 5 (20,001+) — full price (no discount)
Your Early Adopter Discount is locked in at the phase in effect when you subscribe and remains active for as long as you maintain a continuous paid subscription. Phase thresholds are admin-adjustable and changes affect new subscribers only.
Cancellation forfeits your discount. If you cancel your paid subscription, you have a 30-day grace period to resubscribe at the same discount rate. After 30 days, the discount is permanently forfeited and any new subscription will be at the current phase rate.
10. Creator Referral Program
Catchmylive offers a Referral Program that tracks when a Creator brings another person to the platform who registers as a Creator. Referral attribution is determined using a three-layer priority system:
- Priority 1: Referral link parameter — the
?ref=query parameter passed via/join/referral links (highest priority, always overrides other sources) - Priority 2: First-party cookie — a
cml_refcookie set when a visitor views a Creator's notify link page or uses a/join/link, with a 60-day expiration window. Passive slug page visits follow a first-click-wins model; explicit/join/links override any existing cookie. - Priority 3: Database fallback — if no cookie or query parameter exists, the system checks whether the registrant's email matches an existing Follower and attributes the referral to the Creator they first followed. This fallback has no expiration.
Counting rules: Only Paid Referrals count toward program milestones. A Paid Referral is a Referred Creator who is on a paid plan (Creator tier or above) and has maintained an active paid subscription for at least 30 consecutive days. Each Referred Creator counts once, regardless of subsequent plan changes.
Attribution is final at the time of account creation and cannot be changed after the fact. Each Creator may only be attributed to a single referrer.
Self-referrals are prohibited. Creating accounts to refer yourself, creating fake accounts, or offering monetary incentives to inflate referral counts constitutes fraud and may result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of any accrued Revenue Share earnings.
Referred Creators receive no additional discounts beyond any Early Adopter Discount that is currently in effect for all new subscribers. The referral link does not unlock special pricing.
12. Account Termination
By you: You may delete your account at any time. Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
By us, for cause: We may immediately suspend or terminate your account for:
- Violation of these Terms of Service
- Abuse of the broadcast system
- Fraudulent activity, including impersonating another creator
- Non-payment of subscription fees
- Fraud or abuse of the Referral or Revenue Share Program
By us, for other reasons: We may terminate your account for any other reason with 30 days written notice. During this notice period, you may export all your follower data. We will never terminate an account to access or retain your follower data.
Effect on Revenue Share: If your account is terminated, your Revenue Share enrollment is also terminated. Any accrued and unpaid earnings at or above the $100 minimum payout threshold will be paid out in the next monthly cycle. Accrued earnings below the minimum threshold are forfeited upon termination for cause. For voluntary account deletion or termination without cause, all accrued earnings will be paid out regardless of the minimum threshold.
Effect on Referral Attribution: Existing referral attributions remain in the system after account termination. However, no new referrals can be attributed to a terminated account and no further Revenue Share earnings will accrue.
13. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CATCHMYLIVE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CATCHMYLIVE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. FOR FREE TIER USERS, THIS AMOUNT IS ZERO.
CATCHMYLIVE IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR AUDIENCE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
14. Our Commitment to You
Plain-English version: While the legal language above protects both of us, here is what we actually commit to as a team:
- We will resolve issues quickly and communicate transparently when things go wrong.
- We will make things right when we make mistakes, even when we are not legally obligated to.
- We will never use your data against you — your follower data belongs to you, not us.
- We will give you time to export your data before any account changes take effect.
- We put values and morals first, even when it costs us revenue.
This section is a statement of intent, not a legally binding commitment. But it reflects how we operate and the standard we hold ourselves to.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have provided one) or by posting a notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
17. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms, contact us at legal@catchmy.live.
Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 28, 2026
Catchmylive ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. We believe your data belongs to you — not us.
1. Who We Are
Catchmylive is a notification delivery service that helps content creators notify their audiences when they go live or post new content. We operate the website at catchmy.live and related services.
For the purposes of data protection law, Catchmylive acts as a data processor on behalf of Creators (who are the data controllers for their follower data). For data we collect directly (such as Creator account information), we act as the data controller.
2. Data We Collect
Creator Data
When you register as a Creator, we collect:
- Email address — for authentication (OTP login) and account communications
- Display name and slug — your chosen creator name and notify link (catchmy.live/[yourname])
- Avatar URL — imported from your connected platforms
- Platform connection data — OAuth tokens for YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, and Facebook, used solely to detect when you go live or post content
- Social link URLs — optional links to TikTok, Twitter/X, Discord, and other platforms you choose to display on your profile
Follower Data
When you follow a Creator and opt in to notifications, we collect:
- Email address (required) — used for account identity and OTP verification. Providing an email does not automatically enroll you in email notifications; email notifications are a separate opt-in.
- Web push subscription token — a technical token provided by your browser to deliver push notifications. This is not personally identifiable.
- Native app push token — if you use the Catchmylive mobile app, an Expo Push token is collected to deliver push notifications via Apple Push Notification service (APNs) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
- Phone number (optional) — collected only if you opt into SMS notifications (available on supported Creator plans).
- Notification preferences — your choices about which types of notifications to receive (live, content), preferred platforms, frequency settings, and quiet hours.
- Referral attribution data — if you arrived via a Creator's referral link or notify link, we record the referring Creator and the attribution source (e.g., referral link, notify link visit, or follower history).
Revenue Share Program Data
If you enroll in the Revenue Share Program, additional data is collected and processed through Stripe Connect:
- Stripe Connect account information — identity verification (KYC), bank account details, and tax information (collected and stored by Stripe, not by Catchmylive)
- Earnings records — monthly revenue share calculations, payout amounts, and payout status
- Enrollment status — terms acceptance, enrollment date, and program status
Automatically Collected Data
We collect minimal technical data necessary to operate the Service:
- Server logs — IP addresses, request timestamps, and browser user-agent strings, retained for security and debugging purposes only
We do not use third-party analytics services, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies. We do not build behavioral profiles of our users.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To deliver notifications — detecting when Creators go live or post content, and dispatching notifications to their followers via push, email, or SMS
- To authenticate users — sending OTP codes and managing Creator sessions
- To operate the Service — maintaining accounts, processing payments, providing customer support
- To improve the Service — using anonymized, aggregate data (e.g., average notification delivery rates across the platform). This data is never individually identifiable.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
4. Data Ownership
Creators own their Follower Data. Catchmylive is the data processor, not the data owner.
- Creators may export their full follower list at any time, in CSV format, with no restrictions and no fees, on any plan.
- Creators may delete their account and all associated follower data at any time.
5. Follower Rights
As a Follower, you have full control over your data:
- Manage your follows — add, modify, or remove any followed creator at any time via the settings page
- Delete all data — request complete deletion of all your data (all follows, push tokens, email address, phone number) by contacting legal@catchmy.live. All data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
- Creator account deletion — when a Creator deletes their account, the follow relationship between that Creator and their Followers is automatically removed. Your follows of other Creators remain active.
6. Sub-Processors and Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Catchmylive. Each processes data only as necessary to provide their service:
| Service | Purpose | Data Processed |
|---|---|---|
| Neon | Database hosting | All account and subscription data |
| Upstash | Cache and job queue | Notification job data (temporary) |
| Resend | Email delivery | Email addresses, notification content |
| Vercel | Application hosting | Server logs, request data |
| Stripe | Payment processing and Revenue Share payouts | Creator billing information; for Revenue Share participants: identity (KYC), bank details, and tax information via Stripe Connect |
| Expo | Native app push notification delivery | Expo push tokens, notification content |
| Browser push services | Web push notification delivery | Push subscription tokens, notification content |
Browser push services include Google (FCM), Apple (APNs), and Mozilla push servers. These services receive only the push subscription token and encrypted notification payload — they cannot read the content of notifications.
7. Data Retention
- Active accounts: data is retained for as long as your account is active and you use the Service.
- Account deletion: upon requesting account deletion, there is a 30-day grace period during which your account can be recovered. After 30 days, all data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.
- Server logs: retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes, then automatically purged.
- Notification dispatch records: retained for up to 90 days for delivery reporting and analytics, then automatically purged. These records do not contain notification content.
- Revenue Share records: earnings, payout records, and enrollment data are retained for 7 years after the last transaction for tax and accounting compliance purposes.
- Referral attribution data: retained for as long as the referring Creator's account is active, and for up to 90 days after account deletion for reconciliation purposes.
- Anonymized aggregate data: may be retained indefinitely as it is not individually identifiable.
8. Cookies and Local Storage
Catchmylive uses minimal cookies and local storage:
- Session cookie — required for Creator authentication. Expires when you log out or after the session timeout.
- Referral attribution cookie (
cml_ref) — a first-party cookie used to attribute Creator referrals as part of the Referral Program. This cookie is set when you visit a Creator's notify link page or use a/join/referral link. It contains the referring Creator's identifier, the attribution type, and a timestamp. It does not contain any personally identifiable information.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Duration | 60 days |
| HttpOnly | Yes (cannot be read by JavaScript) |
| Secure | Yes (HTTPS only) |
| SameSite | Lax |
- Theme preference — stored in localStorage to remember your light/dark mode choice. Not transmitted to our servers.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party cookies. We do not participate in cross-site tracking or retargeting.
Cookie Consent by Jurisdiction
The cml_ref cookie is classified as a functional cookie used to operate the Referral Program. Consent requirements vary by jurisdiction:
- EU/EEA and UK (GDPR/UK-GDPR): Opt-in consent is required before setting this cookie. The cookie will not be set without your explicit consent.
- Brazil (LGPD): Opt-in consent is recommended and requested before setting this cookie.
- United States (CCPA), Canada (PIPEDA), and other jurisdictions: Disclosure only. This Privacy Policy serves as your notice of this cookie's use.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS for all connections)
- Encryption at rest for sensitive data (OAuth tokens, API keys)
- Passwordless authentication (OTP-based) — no passwords to steal or leak
- Regular security updates and dependency monitoring
No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify affected users within 72 hours in accordance with applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
Catchmylive is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at legal@catchmy.live and we will promptly delete that information.
Users between 13 and 18 may use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian.
11. Your Rights Under GDPR (European Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, or the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP):
- Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data
- Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (Creators can export follower data as CSV at any time)
- Right to object — object to our processing of your data, including processing based on legitimate interest
- Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal)
- Right not to be subject to automated decision-making — we do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing
- Right to lodge a complaint — file a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. UK residents can contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. EEA residents can contact the supervisory authority in their member state — a directory is maintained by the European Data Protection Board at edpb.europa.eu.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@catchmy.live. We will respond within 30 days.
Legal basis for processing
- Contract — delivering the Service you signed up for: account authentication, notification dispatch, billing for paid plans
- Consent — email notifications, the marketing/referral cookie, and any other category you affirmatively opt into
- Legitimate interest — service security, abuse prevention, and first-party usage analytics that help us operate and improve the Service. You can object to processing on this basis at any time.
- Legal obligation — financial records (Revenue Share, tax reporting) where retention is required by law.
International data transfers
Catchmylive is operated from the United States. When you use the Service from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, your personal data is transferred to and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our sub-processors operate. We rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and equivalent UK / Swiss addenda) with our sub-processors to provide an adequate level of protection.
EU and UK representatives
For inquiries from data subjects in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may always contact us directly at legal@catchmy.live. If we are required to designate a local representative under Article 27 of the GDPR or the equivalent provision of the UK GDPR, the representative's contact details will be published in this section.
12. Your Rights Under CCPA (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with the following rights:
- Right to know — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
- Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information
- Right to opt out of sale — we do not sell personal information, so this right is automatically satisfied
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@catchmy.live. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.
Do Not Sell My Personal Information: Catchmylive does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.
13. International Data Transfers
Catchmylive is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We ensure that our sub-processors maintain appropriate data protection standards.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have provided one) or by posting a notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
15. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise any of your data rights, contact us at legal@catchmy.live.
